New Life Christian School, a classical Christian School, located in Ephrata, Washington is looking to fill the role of KinderPrep Teacher. New Life Christian School has been serving the educational needs of children since 1984. We are seeking a Christian individual who has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and can demonstrate a conviction that God has called them to become involved in classical Christian education. Responsibilities
- Be responsible for teaching and guiding the children in the classroom, providing proper supervision, maintaining appropriate records and communicating necessary information to students, other teachers, parents, the Administrator, or authorities.
- Plan and carry out the daily teaching programs in math, writing, and reading.
- Give full attention to the class and be responsible for the safety and physical well-being of the children.
- Direct the assistant teacher so that their time is utilized efficiently and productively.
- Plan lessons including advanced preparation and clean up. Include appropriate experiences in Bible, art, science, music, literature, etc.
- Plan and prepare attractive bulletin boards for assigned area(s).
- Collaborate with other teachers to advance the students and prepare them for Kindergarten.
- Meet with parents regularly to inform them of child’s progress in learning.
- Promote NLCS Kindergarten to the parents.
- Attend regular staff meetings as required by the Head of School.
- Read professional materials and attend at least 1 class, workshop or seminar per year to maintain an understanding of KinderPrep procedures, students, curriculum and legal requirements.
- Assist the Head of School with the organization of materials and supplies.
- Follow policies established by the NLCS Board, and the State of Washington.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position is a part-time teaching position.

Requirements
Early Childhood Education Certificate is preferred.
